Jeffrey Bank is the CEO and Chairman of Alicart Restaurant Group, the force behind Carmine’s Family Style Italian and Virgil’s Real BBQ. Under his leadership, Alicart operates eight restaurants across NYC, Washington, D.C., Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and the Bahamas, serving 3.2 million guests annually with $130 million in sales in 2024.
Carmine’s, now celebrating 35 years, has become an institution, with its Times Square location ranking as the second-highest-grossing independent restaurant in the U.S. Virgil’s Real BBQ, now 30 years strong, continues to set the standard for authentic Southern barbecue.
Beyond Alicart, Jeffrey is a key industry advocate, serving as the Founding President & Trustee of the NYC Hospitality Alliance and holding board positions with the Union for Reform Judaism, Downtown DC BID, and the Times Square Alliance.
Since taking the helm, Jeffrey has refined and expanded Alicart’s footprint, ensuring 35 years of uninterrupted success (excluding COVID). In the face of inflation, labor challenges, and evolving regulations, his steady leadership has kept Alicart thriving—proving that great food, strong hospitality, and smart strategy never go out of style.
