Kathleen Adams
Kathleen Adams is a multi-hyphenate as the co-owner of Angel of Harlem (bar/restaurant) that has been ranked as one of the top brunch places in New York City, which will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in July.
In addition to being a restauranteur, Kathleen is a Brand Strategist who has worked with leading companies across tech/telecom/beauty, aesthetics, CPG, and Spirits, among other categories specializing in digital marketing and influencer/content creation.
With her multi-faceted career, Kathleen has been able to take rich insights honed via working with many Fortune 500 companies and blend those learning to be relevant in the hospitality space. From the eye-catching design of the physical space at Angel of Harlem to the social-media heavy presence of influencers as guests, Kathleen and her team has been able to make Angel of Harlem the “it spot” for not only brunch, but for drinking, dining and having fun.
Outside of her professional life, Kathleen is very hands on in the community. Her involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors of the New York Junior League, as well as the co-chair of the Associate Board for Harlem School of the Arts and Alvin Ailey. Additionally, Kathleen is the and co-founder of Momma's Hip Hop Kitchen, a social justice events-based organization focused on raising awareness via hip hop around reproductive justice and HIV/AIDS.
Kathleen calls New York City home, and is originally from Shaker Heights, Ohio.
She graduated from Fordham University with a dual degree in Women’s Studies and Urban Studies with a minor in Environmental Policy as well as a Master’s degree from Fordham University in Urban Studies.
