Onwer/President, Stout NYC Hospitality Group

Born in Manhattan and raised in Jackson Heights and Floral Park. I attended St. John's U(where I recently received an outstanding Alumni Achievement Award) and graduated with a BA in Marketing.After dabbling in the advertising industry, I started my 1st  business in 1987 when I was 25, opening a deli in Queens with a college friend. We soon opened a pizzeria on the same block. After my Mother passed away in 1991, and my Father deciding to move back to Ireland, I took over my parents business, Maggie's Place on E 47th St (which opened in 1974). Despite not owning the building, Maggie's just celebrated its 50th Anniversary. Unheard of in NYC , let alone Midtown Manhattan. It's a true NYC institution. After opening a few more establishments, Myself and my partners opened the 1st Stout NYC on 33rd St across from Madison Sq Garden. This would eventually lead to the start of the Stout NYC Hospitality Group which in addition to Maggie's Place, currently operates 4 Stout locations, 2 Amity Hall spots, The Half Pint, The Independent, The LongRoom, The Wolfe, Ernie's, The Lodge Bar in Bryant Parks Bank of America Winter Village, and Rivercrest in Astoria. The newest location,"The Splendid" will open in March on E 52nd St.

 I am a board member of the NYC Hospitality Alliance and The 34th St Partnership. I'm also proud of starting the "Pint for A Pint" program for the NY Blood Center amongst raising funds and awareness for a wide group of charities through our business.
